Enjoy the perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm when you stay at this spacious chalet with a hot tub, between the mountain resorts of Samoëns and Morillon.
In winter, skiers have a choice of ski lifts. The Vercland lift is just a three-minute drive away, and is a good way to avoid the queues. There are more lifts in Morillon and Samoëns, linking you to Grand Massif resorts such as Flaine, Sixt, and Les Carroz. In summer, you can hike and cycle on the numerous walking and biking trails in the area, explore the impressive nature reserve at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, or swim in the lakes at Morillon and Samoëns.
You’ll find several shops, bars and restaurants in the nearby village of Morillon (1.3km), particularly around the ski lift, and there’s even more choice in the centre of Samoëns, which is just a five-minute drive away.
And after a day packed with activities, you can unwind in the hot tub on the terrace, while the sun sets over the mountains.
About the property…
Chalet Trumont has plenty of room for up to 12 guests (including 10 adults), with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Formerly a barn, it has been carefully renovated to show off the stunning framework of the building.
On the first floor, you’ll find three double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room and WC, as well as a family room and a twin bedroom. There is also a separate shower room with a walk-in shower and toilet. The family room has a double bed as well as a set of bunk beds, and opens onto a terrace, where you can relax in the hot tub. Two of the other bedrooms share a balcony.
The living area on the upper floor is full of natural light, thanks to its high ceilings and big windows. You’ll find a cosy seating area, a dining area, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob, American-style fridge and wine store. This space opens onto a balcony.
There are two more rooms under the eaves on this floor: a TV room with a large sofa, as well as a games room with another sofa, a TV, board games, table football and an arcade machine. This extra space means that even when a large group is staying at Chalet Trumont, there’s room for everyone to do their own things. This floor also has a WC.
A ski room with heated boot warmers means you can get comfortable as soon as you return from your outings. You will also have access to a garden and four pairs of snowshoes for family excursions.
About the area…
Samoëns is located in the Giffre Valley, near Morillon, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, and Flaine. The village is known for its cultural and architectural heritage, as well as its pedestrian-friendly centre and interesting back streets. Its lively main square is a popular place to eat, and many skiers drop down into the town for lunch before heading back to the slopes. Samoëns offers a rare balance between traditional charm and direct access to a wide range of outdoor activities.
In winter, Samoëns is linked to the Grand Massif ski area, which includes 139 runs across Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, and Sixt. These range from wide forest trails to more technical descents at higher altitudes. The village also offers many winter activities, such as sledging, snowshoeing or dog-sledding excursions, cross-country skiing, ice skating and more. Samoëns’ great location and facilities make it a great base for those wanting to make the most of a mountain holiday while enjoying a village atmosphere.
During the rest of the year, the river and waterfalls of the Giffre Valley invite visitors to go swimming, canyoning, rafting, or fishing. The leisure centre and aquatic complex at the Lac aux Dames make a great choice for a family day out, whether you want to relax or enjoy the sporting facilities. You can also swim in the lake in summer. Lac Bleu in Morillon is just a walk or cycle away along the river path. It's a great place to swim and in the winter you can relax in the saunas around the lake. Children will enjoy the pump track and zipline. Hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing and visits to the natural amphitheater of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval are just some of the activities in the surrounding area.

The chalet is ideally situated, very spacious and tastefully furnished. It’s a really cosy place; there’s plenty of space for everyone, and it has everything you could possibly need. Not to mention the hot tub for relaxing, with a view of the mountains!

We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was very cosy and everything was clean upon arrival. The bedrooms were tastefully furnished and the bathrooms were modern and clean.
The skiing was great; nice slopes and easy access from Morillon to Samoëns and Flaine.
The owners were very helpful and welcoming. They offered tips for activities and restaurants and were always available to answer questions.

Once a home to skilled stonecutters, the traditional Alpine village of Samoens is now the gateway to some wonderful skiing, walking and biking in the Grand Massif.
It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a ski resort where you can relax after an exhilarating day in the mountains.

The OVO Network Review
Spread over two levels, Chalet Trumont can accommodate up to 12 guests (including 10 adults) in five bedrooms with four bathrooms. This charming chalet combines modern comfort with the authentic character of a restored barn, complete with several separate living areas and a terrace with a relaxing hot tub.
The lower level is entirely dedicated to rest. It includes three double bedrooms, a twin room and a family room with a double bed and bunk beds for two children.
Three of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with WCs, while an additional shower room serves the other two.
The open-plan living room on the upper level has a cosy seating area, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area as well as several large windows which flood it with light. There are also glass doors which open onto the balcony.
The impressive ceiling height and exposed beams give this area a very special character. A second lounge with a TV and a games room with table football, board games and an arcade machine offer plenty of options for entertainment.
Finally, a well-equipped ski storage room is very convenient after a day on the slopes, while four pairs of snowshoes provided by the owners invite you to explore the surrounding area.
The accommodation takes up the top two floors of the chalet, while the owners live in an independent apartment on the ground floor. They are always available to offer advice on the area and answer any questions.

Nestled in a small hamlet between the charming villages of Morillon and Samoëns, we carefully restored our chalet, paying attention to every last detail. The spacious living area, once a barn, has been transformed into a bright, elegant, and welcoming space, featuring impressive ceiling height, original beams and unobstructed views over the Giffre Valley.
Our dream was to create a home where family and friends could gather, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains – from peaceful Alpine mornings to outdoor adventures, all accessible year-round right from the doorstep. Whether guests come to ski, hike, cycle, or simply slow down and admire the scenery, we want them to feel completely at home in Chalet Trumont.
